The Role:
The CI/CD DevOps Engineer will work to deploy, operate and manage a high availability, fault tolerant multi-tenant application service engine. The Cloud Services DevOps Engineer in this role will independently design and develop a cloud orchestration and deployment framework within an Agile service development and deployment life cycle. They will design and code components and/or sub-components, and test deployment and operational tools for all micro-services. We are looking for a self-motivated, phenomenal teammate with a background working in an Agile environment to join our dynamic team!
Responsibilities
- Creates technical proposals and white papers, write functional and design specifications
- Design, develop, test, and document an orchestration and deployment framework for managing of multi-tenant public cloud-based Integration and Deployment services
- Assists with product studies, performs requirements analysis, and develops software architectures to meet requirements
- Responsible for service delivery in the Production environment
- Application service performance analysis, and generating data for traffic forecasting
- Monitor application services and ensure alignment with SLA requirement
- Manage support tickets internally and externally, driving the coordination for RCA determination
- Support customer presentations and discussions as part of the Engineering team, and incorporate customer feedback into release management process
Qualifications
Experience in the following areas are required
- Experience managing Jenkins or Thoughtworks Go and creating workflows for continuous service integration, testing, and deployment. This includes setting up automatic: code pulls from Git, building the code, packaging it (into OS packages and/or containers), deploying the packages to test systems, starting automated tests, and reporting results via dashboards).
- Git source code control
- Experience working in an agile (scrum) development environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years hands-on experience with DevOps technologies
- BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Strong knowledge of open-source libraries/packages
Experience in the following areas are desired
- API+UI automated load testing via a tool such as: Grinder, Gatling, Tsung, or JMeter
- API+UI automated functionality testing via tools such as RedwoodHQ and Selenium.
- Experience with noSQL databases such as DynamoDB and MongoDB
- Experience with Cloud deployment, preferably on AWS
- Python scripting
- Ansible configuration management
- RESTful server and client implementations
- Interest in wireless communication technologies
Travel will be required in this position, domestically or internationally as deemed necessary to the growth and expansion of the Company.
