Sr. NodeJS/API Developer at Diamond (Los Angeles, CA)

We are looking for a passionate Node.js Developer to join our backend team. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, proficient at transforming concepts into a solid architecture and requirements, meticulously detail oriented, and able to quickly come up to speed on new technologies.


Responsibilities:



  • Driving design and build out of a new platform

  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic 
    Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code 

  • Implementation of security and data protection 
    Integration of data storage solutions

  • Review and actively participate in architectural discussions

  • Works closely with development, integration and test teams to ensure product quality. 

  • Supports operations by providing deployment and sustained engineering support for all responsible systems and technologies


Qualifications:



  • Required extensive experience with JavaScript / node.js JSON.

  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks.

  • Experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs

  • Understanding of the design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, high-performing backends

  • Experience developing highly scalable MongoDB databases

  • Experience with implementation of automated testing platform and unit tests

  • Proficiency with code version tools such as Git, BitBucket

  • Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a distributed and scalable application

  • Continuous Integration and Deployment Experience using DevOps tools such as Jenkins

  • Working knowledge of Web App development using HTML/CSS/jQuery

  • In-depth knowledge of creation of automated unit and integration testing

  • Excellent written, communication, inter personal, liaison and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in multi-cultural environment
