ITG is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented software engineer to join our POSIT Alert team, a product critical to ITG’s global business. If you are highly skilled and motivated to shape the next generation of financial applications, we’re excited to hear from you!
We are seeking a Software Engineer who is able to work independently in researching and solving problems as part of a small team (3 to 5) of knowledgeable developers. You will be working on the next generation of POSIT Alert, an innovative indication crossing system and one of ITG’s star products.

WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:
- Design and develop a Java application responsible for the real-time gathering and interpreting of large amount of data in order to organize that data into an SQL database
- Design and develop an automated regression testing framework used for the systematic testing of the aforementioned application
- Help with the data mining of the gathered data to be used for real-time monitoring, reporting, usage pattern detection, behavior analysis and possibly modeling and prediction.

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:
- A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years or a Master’s degree and 2+ years of experience building software applications
- Excellent knowledge of Java (or C++/C#)
- Good knowledge of Perl or Python
- Good knowledge of UNIX (Solaris or Linux)
- Good knowledge of SQL and RDBMS (Sybase or MSSQL)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in Agile development methodology, using RallyDev or JIRA
- Experience with Subversion
- Experience developing financial (equities / fixed-income trading) applications a plus but not essential
