WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Turn mock-ups and designs into full pages with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript using ES6, React, Redux, Node, Express, and other modern web technologies
- Work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
- Commitment to improving existing code, writing testable code, and mentoring junior developers on best practices
- Design and build a high-performance rendering and page delivery system for both marketing-driven and content-catalog-driven pages
- Work on headless content editing tool to support our Marketing team’s desire to customize pages quickly and independently
- Work with our Product Management team to help scope features, identify potential trade-offs, and ensure we’re building the right thing for our customers and our internal stakeholders
- Help enable A/B testing and rapid iteration to help the company meet its goals
WHAT TO BRING
- Exceptional HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills
- Experience architecting large single page web applications in either React, Vue, Ember or another comparable JavaScript framework
- Experience with build tools, such as Webpack or Gulp, as well as transpiling, minification, concatenation and other build-time optimizations
- Experience with source code control, particularly Git
- Knowledge of security concerns when developing single page web applications
- Knowledge of optimizing client-side performance
- Strong testing discipline and experience using Jest, Karma, Jasmine, or another comparable testing framework
- Knowledge of technology trends such as ES6, web components, JavaScript frameworks and architectural designs and concerns
- Exceptional knowledge of JavaScript design patterns as well as object oriented and functional design
- Exceptional front-end debugging skills
- Strong organization and communication skills, verbal and written
- BS degrees in computer science or equivalent experience
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization technologies
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or other cloud services
- Experience with PHP and Drupal
- Experience with React Native, NativeScript, and/or Progressive Web Apps
- Experience developing web applications outside of a traditional browser, i.e. living room devices
