Berkeley Lab’s Energy Sciences Network (ESnet, http://bit.ly/2MNnC8p), the fastest science network in the world, is seeking a hands-on Software Engineering Manager with demonstrated leadership skills to lead and manage the Software Engineering Group.



The Software Engineering Manager will serve as a key member of ESnet’s Leadership Team, overseeing full life-cycle software development that makes ESnet more efficient, and supports scientific collaborations around the world. This includes leading an exceptional group of roughly 15 world-class software engineers responsible for building the next generation high-speed science network for cutting edge scientific advancements as well as developing and maintaining technical and business interfaces with the leaders of ESnet’s internal groups. Requires demonstrated expertise leading the design and implementation of software development projects and the ability to work productively and collaboratively with technical and leadership members representing national and international research and education networks.
