Full Stack Ruby On Rails Developer
Remote

Job description
(This position accepts remote candidates, as well as on-site for our Jacksonville office)

Who We Are:

  • Helpjuice empowers large and small companies (such as Hertz, US Government, and thousands of others) to deliver instant support

  • We're a smaller, yet growing software company, where everyone wears multiple hats. It's a team of excellent people, who are all willing to help each other, because it's the way we work / our culture

  • We care about our customers, and are a very transparent company in how we build software (e.g.: our product roadmap is public & customer-driven)

Who We're Looking For:

  • You want to learn from a founder who has launched multiple companies and see a job not just as a way to write code and get paid for it, but as a great learning opportunity

  • You value a team that works both hard and smart - who are obsessed with helping customers and honing their craft more than anything

  • You actually want to love your job, the people you work with and the software you help create, instead of simply tolerating them

  • You’re looking for a career, not just another job

  • You know, like and agree with most of the views shared by the Basecamp guys

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years in Rails, ideally 1+ year in Rails 5

  • You've worked with a monolith code base and understand that 'micro-services' are not a solution for every scenario

  • You can write beautiful JavaScript code, and prefer instantaneous JavaScript apps. Apps that refresh are in the past

  • You're a damn good communicator, and don't make excuses. "It works on my computer" isn't a valid response why our app is down
