What you’ll do (Responsibilities & Duties) – You’ll work closely with everyone in the company to help bring the vision to life. Both the Front-End and Back-End are built on JavaScript technology making Full Stack development much more straightforward than most designs. For the Front-End, you’ll start with an innovative design developed by our UI/UX designer and turn it into reusable React components that use GraphQL as the query API to access Back-End services. For the Back-End, you’ll work closely with our Architect to design and build JavaScript services that use Node.js and a NoSQL database and other service based components. Additional Back-End technologies such as Python will come into play as we access advanced analytics and machine learning technologies to enhance our product offering. Our deployment uses AWS Serverless framework for deployment and monitoring. Our development methodology centers on an Agile approach using Jira.
What we seek (Skills & Qualifications) -
- 3+ years of professional development experience using one or more general programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Java, Go or others.
- 1+ years of professional experience in JavaScript frameworks such as React, Ember, Angular or similar. React experience is highly desirable.
- Highly experienced with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and with using them in a responsive design.
- Experience with multiple types of databases, including traditional RDBMS and NoSQL.
- Experience working in a cloud-based environment is highly desirable.
- Experience and comfortable developing in an Agile environment, able to self-manage time and commitments in order to deliver within Sprint timeframes.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the willingness and ability to collaborate effectively.
- CS degree or equivalent highly desirable.
