Experienced Full Stack Developer - Help Plan Joint-Replacement Surgeries at Custom Orthopaedic Solutions (Cleveland, OH)

We are looking for experienced (mid-level, senior/lead) full stack developers to join our small but growing team here at COS.

As one of the first 10 software engineers at COS, you will join a team creating impactful technology used by doctors around the world. You will have the opportunity to build across the breadth of our products - from our web applications for planning joint-replacement surgeries (shoulder, knee, hip) to derivate ventures such as our bronchial stent design application. Technologically, healthcare has lagged behind other industries far too long. Our mission at COS is to change that, providing surgeons with tools to improve their patients' outcomes.

As a COS developer, you are a generalist who owns projects from end-to-end, enjoys problem-solving, and values the impact your work makes on our patients. You are scrappy and resourceful, unafraid to dive into an unknown project, but humble enough to make mistakes and iterate. You thrive on speed and wearing many hats, and enjoy working on different parts of the tech stack (we use React, Redux, and Go).

Within your 1st month, you will ship small features to COS's products. You'll familiarize yourself with our tech stack, codebase, and code review process to learn how everything connects together. You'll have the opportunity to sit-in on relevant surgical procedures performed at the Cleveland Clinic by top doctors. Shortly after, you will contribute to the planning, scoping, and coding of larger projects. You'll possess the confidence and skill set to own and ship substantial features.

  • Experience with React / Redux.

  • Experience building out RESTful APIs.
