Do you think this could be you? To pursue our ambitious expansion strategy, we are looking for an IT Operations Manager(m/f) to join our team. In this position you will lead our hybrid-cloud IT operations. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a group of system administrators, devops and has an eye towards seamless operations and functional improvements.
You will be expected to:
- Manage and supervise technical staff, including hiring, mentoring, discipline, and tasking
- Collaborate with personnel in a matrixed, DevOps environment
- Ensure that the IT infrastructure is robust and secure
- Help manage the private and public cloud components of the organization
- Oversee storage, processing, and network assets of the company
- Provide operational and functional support duties including out of hours on call availability to prioritise and remediate high severity incidents
- Monitor and optimize system performance taking both proactive and reactive measures to correct and prevent issues
You come with the following skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Linux (Debian and Ubuntu)
- Experience with Cloud services, most dominantly AWS
- Experience with highly available, high traffic, distributed web applications
- Kubernetes on-prem and cloud
- Automation and configuration management tools like Puppet and Ansible as well as Docker and its ecosystem (compose, machine, swarm, etc.)
- Services like Elasticsearch, Solr, Redis, Memcached (with mcrouter)
- Good MySQL (Percona / RDS / Aurora) administration knowledge
- Cloud ready monitoring is a plus (Nagios, ELK, Graphite, New Relic, Cloudwatch)
- 5+ years leadership experience, leading teams of 3 or more
- Proven ability to mentor, guide and motivate individuals and teams
