DeviantArt is in need of a hungry, humble, and smart Graphic Designer who can create their own vision from concept to completion to join our in-house creative department in Hollywood, CA.
With direction from our Lead Designer, the Graphic Designer will become part of a studio team tasked to implement templated systems and design products such as contests, marketing materials for site-wide events, pitch decks, and more. The ideal candidate has an expert-level grasp of the Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on Illustrator and Photoshop. The right person also possesses a strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS - preferably having experience in the entertainment industry (Film, Television, Gaming, etc).
Basic Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of User Interface Design
- 3-5 years of design experience, preferably in the entertainment industry (Film, Television, Gaming, etc).
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator)
- Strong Typography skills
- Experience designing posters and other marketing materials
- Ability to design multiple looks for a diverse client base
- Ability to understand and edit HTML5 and CSS
- Understanding of marketing
- Understanding and appreciation of Art
- Strong knowledge of Pop Culture
- Strong team-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- After Effects skills (bumpers, intros etc.)
- Video editing skills
- Illustration skills
- Understanding of content strategy
- Excitement for comic cons and conventions
