Summary:
Sr. Software Engineer, Mobile to build iOS applications for. The Software Engineer, Mobile will be responsible for defining and contributing to mobile development as well as leading vendor engineering teams, defining the application architecture of new and ongoing projects and video experiences for Fox, and helping to define the related APIs.
The Sr. Software Engineer, Mobile must understand both business and technical objectives. This means having a full working knowledge of Swift and Obj-C while being able to translate business goals into technical requirements and solutions. You will be responsible for simultaneously being hands-on and for providing technical vision and guiding the project and the development team towards that vision.
Requirements
- Builds native iOS applications using Swift/Objective-C
- Builds frameworks for use across iOS/tvOS
- Implements scalable data-driven application frameworks and solutions
- Works with complex video and API structures and formats
- Provides technical specifications and documentation
- Identifies opportunities and implements new/augments existing processes for greater efficiency, higher quality, client satisfaction, and revenue
Qualifications
- 2-3 years hands-on software development experience in Swift
- 3-5 years hands on software development in Objective-C
- Strong CS Fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Experience with online video streaming
- Experience integrating a large number of third-party services into consumer applications
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills with internal and external teams
- Must be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and be expected to manage and report on multiple projects
- Experience with a variety of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Superb attention to detail, troubleshooting/problem solving skills are a must
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience using Git, Jira, Slack and other collaborative development tools
- Experience/experimentation with Android Java/Kotlin a plus
- Degree in Computer Science preferred
