In order for customers to shop with idealo, we need strong e-commerce partners who provide a wide range of offers and whom we help to optimize their business. The Product Area "B2B" manages the interfaces through which traders can publish their offers on idealo and also retrieve their order data. More than two billion offers are imported every day and thousands of orders are requested. In addition, idealo offers dealers various value-added services, such as market reports, which are also developed by the Product Area "B2B".

About your new role



  • In B2B you develop applications to integrate external partners, such as large e-commerce platforms or smaller retailers into the idealo price comparison and shopping platform

  • You are part of a cross-functional and agile team that develops software at the highest level

  • You work with modern technologies such as Spring boat, Spring Cloud, Kafka and more.

  • You get involved in the entire agile development process, from idea to commissioning of product features

  • Designing and implementing scalable and resilient microservices

  • You are constantly improving the code and development processes

  • You evaluate new frameworks and approaches and have the opportunity to use them immediately in your work


Skills & Requirements



  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience as a software developer

  • You have good Java skills and have already gained experience with the Spring Framework

  • You program passionately, cleanly and test-drive what you design

  • You have an agile mindset

  • You are familiar with various persistence solutions, such as JPA, MySQL, MongoDB and Spring Data

  • Continuous integration, continuous deployment, resilience, software craftsmanship and 12 Factor Apps are no stranger to you

  • You are experienced in dealing with Bitbucket / Git, Maven, Jenkins and Jira

  • You work hands-on and prefer a swift action without losing sight of the quality

  • You have an informed opinion and represent it - and respect when others do

  • You learn quickly and with pleasure, and are open to new ideas
