The Job As a Senior Software Engineer on a very small team, you enjoy having a large impact on the business. You are a self-motivated, hands-on technical leader that delivers quality results quickly. You thrive on learning new technologies and collaborating with your team to design and deliver world-class technical services. Your team deploys production code rapidly to keep pace with a changing business, you can balance short term and long term needs, and you take ownership of your team's roadmap and everything you do.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and deploy solutions independently and as a team member
- Design and develop major components in our big data pipeline
- Understand the customer deeply, understand the business deeply, then use technology to solve for both Contribute to every stage (and discipline) in the software development life cycle\Own the quality of the deliverables
- Provide team leadership and mentoring
- May manage other software engineers
- Work out of our vibrant and creative work-space in Seattle, WA
Who You Are
- You have a Computer Science degree or equivalent with a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms
- You have 5+ years experience in software development with 3+ years as a lead/senior developerYou have a deep understanding of software development best practices, system design, software design patterns, and algorithms
- You’ve had past success in driving technical projects from beginning to end
- You enjoy a fast paced, collaborative environment and prefer to create great products together with your team
- You are committed to excellence and integrity
- You have experience defining and influencing technical best practices across a team
- Experience with any of the follow is a plus, but not required!
- Java, ReactJS, AWS, MySQL and NoSQL, Amazon Web Services, Big data pipelines, Machine,learning
