WePay is looking for talented Senior Software Engineer - Developer Tools to join our team. We have a transaction volume more than tripling year-over-year and we’re rapidly outgrowing our existing tech stack. This role is integral in facilitating the degree of success we can deploy and effectively manage the large number of new microservices we are developing. This team is responsible for building the deployment and monitoring infrastructure from a green field. Because of the scale of our growth, Wepay is currently in the process of refactoring our application from a PHP monolith to a set of microservices. Most investments will be put into building this new infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes. The current infrastructure is adequate, so we have the opportunity to build a new house while living in the house we’re in. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has solid experience building deployment and management tools for SaaS based applications. This individual would be responsible for the build of the deployment pipeline and monitoring framework to support the new services. We need someone who can provide developers and DevOps team members with best practices in terms of configuration management principles and CD pipeline best practices. The right engineer will help define and enforce DevOps requirements for what we'll support in production. They would be responsible for building a tools library to up-level common tasks, documenting code and procedures, etc. They would work with development teams to understand requirements and priorities, review code from other team members and mentor junior software developers on the tools and SRE teams.
