DUTIES: Manage and lead the Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) test team, responsible for developing end-to-end Reference Design Kit (RDK) automation test solutions within a video broadcasting space; manage project teams, oversee the development of test strategies, and design quality assurance practices in a DevOps environment utilizing software developing and testing tools, including Java, J2EE; conduct automation design reviews with internal project stakeholders; oversee deployment of new automation technologies within the test department and assure automation deployment processes is satisfied; participate in field defect reviews, assess test coverage of automation suites and work with test execution teams on the need for test coverage improvements; collaborate with DevOps partners in implementing standards, methods, and procedures for testing of embedded video products; establish and maintain automation development standards, procedures and methods to enable seamless and efficient deployment of automated test cases into the Dev/QA test environment; drive agile/DevOps teams in the area of continuous improvement, installing metrics to measure departmental performance; perform routine budgeting, scheduling and estimating activities assuring that departmental budgets, schedules, resources and teams are operating within defined levels and achieving maximum departmental performance; and mentor, train, and provide direction to junior-level engineers; and supervise twenty-four engineers. In performing duties,travelup to 10%of the time.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and six (6) years of experience developing end-to-end RDK automation test frameworks within a video broadcasting space, of which three (3) years must be in a managerial role, overseeing the development of test strategies, and design of quality assurance practices within a DevOps environment, utilizing Java, J2EE.
