QA Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer at IQVIA™, you will be working closely with a product development team. You will be working in an Agile environment to improve the quality, reliability and performance of the application under test. Understanding the product and finding good ways to ‘break’ the software are key to improving quality in this role. Automation is key to test efficiency on this project. As the team is spread out in multiple geographies, the ability to work with the team on a daily basis, communicating effectively and being a positive team player is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
Be a Tester who can test a complex solution and work independently. The application supports complex business rules for the management of life sciences campaigns. The technical architecture includes large databases, ETL and AWS, large-scale communications pipelines.
- Have the ability to quickly automate test scenarios (Knowledge of Selenium a plus)
- Review agile functional and design requirements to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables to enable development of good test scenarios
- Identify defects and impact on the solutions
- Deliver high quality software that matches technical requirements in a timeframe that matches business needs.
- Collaborate with globally distributed Product Management and Development on Agile teams
- Function as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas of software
- Follow process by adhering to documented methodology. Provide good and clear test cases, with traceability to requirements and defects (Knowledge of Test Rail a plus)
- Should be able to perform manual testing or create test cases or create automate test scripts depending on the need of the team
Technical Skills:
- Selenium or other web test automation tools
- C# / ASP.NET Core / Javascript / ReactJS
- Code analysis and debugging capabilities
- Build automation tools [MSBuild/Cake.NET/Gitlab CI]
- Experience using Docker
- Web Application (SPA) test automation
- Knowledge of Multi-channel Marketing and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud systems a plus
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related subject is preferred
- 5+ years of relevant QA Automation Engineering experience
- Experience using SOQL (from salesforce.com) in SOQL explorer or Data loader is a plus
- Testing Experience with web application (specially SPA) products preferred
- Prior experience in using test automation suites like Selenium/Appium is a plus
- Prior experience in using test case/process tools Testrail/Zephyr/TestManager/JIRA/Confluence/ is a plus
- Effective written and oral communication skills required
- Good analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills required
- Ability to work in an Agile globally distributed environment is a plus
