At IQVIA, Technology Solutions delivers industry leading software products for data warehousing to pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.
The role of ETL Developer will require work in Informatica and Java and will utilize scripts to load data for use in a Commercial Data Warehouse based on AWS + other partner solutions. Interface development will be done using a range of statically defined approaches in Informatica directly to integration of dynamically defined interfaces using Java and scripting.
Responsibilities:
Executes project development plan in Agile manner with the other resources which may require extensive research, analysis and complex product design activities:
• Administer and perform design, implementation and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules/sub-systems
• Participate in product design meetings and does code reviews as needed
• Review complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned product features
• Provide guidance to the programmer to researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions to the problems
• Ensure unit testing and integration testing for functionality
• Assist in performing configuration or support of deployed products for IQVIA clients
• Mentor developers to ensure adherence to good quality coding, testing and documentation processes
• Research and understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues
• Create technical documents to capture design and features implemented by the team as needed
• Research new technology or development tools to remain abreast of current technology
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong quality control/quality assurance understanding
• Capability of coding, testing and debugging programs of high complexity.
• Strong knowledge of program design, program logic and flow charting, program testing, debugging and documentation.
• Analytical and design skills at an integrated multi-product environment level
• General skills in research, project planning and implementation
Requirements:
• 5+ years’ experience with Informatica, Java , JSON structures and REST Based web services
• Agile / Scrum development methodology experience is a must
• 3+ years’ with SQL and/or noSQL
• Hands on experience with Scripting languages including Shell Script in LINUX
• Prior experience in AWS is a big plus
• Excellent written and communication skills. Be able to organize ideas and technical details; and present work clearly through the product lifecycle.
