Infomedia operates a large cloud-based footprint globally. Servers come and go continuously, capacity ebbs and flows, the system is in a constant state of change. Our Architecture and Cloud Engineering team are there to design and build the systems that keep the engine of the company running.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an outstanding Lead Cloud Engineer to help tackle the exciting technical opportunities ahead. You'll be joining a great team that develops core cloud systems and tooling to support hundreds of instances, terabytes of data, and gigabits of traffic per second, to support 100s of thousands of subscribers to business-critical web services.
As a Cloud engineer in the architecture team at Infomedia you would:
- Design and implement CI / CD, Cloud orchestration and automation to deliver improved and reliable product deployments and releases
- Identify strategies and technical approaches to increase the performance of our applications
- Engage with cloud vendor product management teams to steer product roadmaps to meet the needs of the business
- Build software systems to integrate cloud vendor solutions into Infomedia’s cloud
- Build monitoring, logging and analytical solutions to keep track of our production infrastructure and applications
- Define + champion the platform technologies and architecture design standards for the organisation
- Drive the integrity of the customer platform, it’s high availability and scalability to ensure future growth success
Skills and experience we’re after:
- Expert level AWS experience with a deep understanding of AWS network architecture (VPC, EC2, S3, Cloud Front, Route53)
- Strong hands-on experience in AWS automation/orchestration development (AWS SDK, Python, Chef, Puppet, Cloud Formation)
- Experience in technology platforms underpinning distributed applications (NoSQL, push messaging, Identity and Access Mgmt)
- Desirable hands-on experience with object-oriented programming and software architecture patterns
