This role is at the core of Betsold's data engineering team, which is expected to grow quickly. You'll be one part DBA, two parts database designer and two parts big data engineer. On a given day, you could be writing stored procs, enhancing relational database schemas, developing complex ETL scripts, producing test datasets, or mining all kinds of juicy NoSql goodness.
The three main requirements for this job are SQL, SQL and SQL. You should be very familiar with SQL DDL as well as DML, and with performance tuning MySql DBs. Beyond that, the more experience you have with cloud platforms, distributed caching, and NoSql, the better - but you can learn the rest on job.
If you don't enjoy working with large datasets, complex transactional systems, new technologies, and great teams of people - then this job might not be for you.
