The DECO API Team is on a mission to significantly transform our 3rd party developer experience by providing set of new RESTful APIs ranging across buying and selling domain which includes domains like Search, Item, Item Feed, Daily deals, Checkout, Order, Merchandising, B2C selling etc.
We are building products from scratch for our new API program that will help streamline design and development processes, manage services lifecycle, manage schema service descriptors, measure, monitor and enforce service maturity against the standards and build state of the art API explorers to discover and experiment with new APIs.
Job Description
Experience in requirements analysis, design (Solid OOP concepts), development and testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications.
Experience in creating software that is extensible, reusable and meets desired architectural objectives.
Participate in all aspects of PDLC including requirement/design reviews as well as code reviews.
Create testing harness/infrastructure/test cases geared towards ensuring quality is engineered right into the product and not as an after-thought.
Solid understanding and experience in Java and RESTful API (Micro-services) development is required.
Experience/understanding in RDBMS and NOSQL (Mongodb, Cassandra)
Experience/Understanding in Big Data technologies (Apache Spark, Hadoop, HBase)
Familiarity working on Unix/Linux systems.
Experience testing Java based software applications.
Knowledge of Java EE, IoC (Spring Framework), and application servers such as Tomcat is required.
Solid development background, including JUNIT/Spock/Code Coverage mock concepts/Static Analysis is required.
Familiar with Test Driven Development is must.
Good understanding software deployment PaaS systems.
Knowledge of Jenkins as integration tool and Maven build tool.
Team player - work well independently and in collaborative, cross-discipline environments.
Self-motivated, passionate for technology, and strong driver for results and continual improvement.
