Responsibilities
Form part of an Agile/SCRUM software development team with an existing Product Owner and Scrum Master.
Design and develop medical IT related software primarily in the fields of archiving (PACS) and radiology information systems (RIS) using primarily C# / .NET
Work with the development team to implement new features, fix existing product issues and occasionally provide 3rd-line support to the Service department.
The Software Developer role is defined in the context of a small Agile/SCRUM team (as per http://www.scrumguides.org/scrum-guide.html#team-dev)
Support the SW Project Architect in technical design of the software product(s)
Help ensure software development processes are implemented by the development team
Actively look for ways to improve software development processes.
Improve existing product architecture on an on-going basis of continuous improvement
If desired, there is a possibility to work on infrastructure (e.g. Jenkins CI)
Requirements
Proven work experience in software development with (very) preferably experience of DICOM and / or HL7 protocols.
A healthcare domain background with a solid understanding of software development and web technologies.
Object-oriented: primarily C# / .NET with some C++. Java also considered, but products are primarily C# so a willingness to move from Java to C# / C++ is required.
Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently at a level equivalent to a graduate education
