Our IT-Team focuses on steadily improving our smava ecosystem of personal credit solutions. We continuously develop our online loan comparison platform and implement new product features. The whole application system consists of more than 50 individual services. That’s why we are currently looking for skilled Senior Java Developers who have strong experiences in designing and building scalable high-performing applications.

Some projects our developers work on:
- Migrating huge monolitic applications into a set of smaller and independent services
- Improving smava architecture to increase functional A-B testing
- Supported by our Transformation Lead & Agile Coach, we are on the road to improve agile development to it’s best
Our backend tech stack:
- Java 8
- Spring framework (DI, Security, Scheduling, Tx, Spring REST, Spring WS)
- Spring Cloud Netflix (e. g. Eureka, Ribbon)
- Messaging JMS / AMQP
- Maven
- PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB, Redis
- Hybrid Cloud Technologies
To get things done you will need:
- At least six years of working experience with Java Spring framework (some of your projects are still in production)
- Experience in building distributed, scalable and resilient infrastructure
- You already have implemented Microservices successfully
- Proven experiences with Message Services (e.g. RabbitMQ or JMS)
- SQL data management expertise
- Working experience in an Agile driven environment
- Good understanding of software design patterns and best practices
- Fluent spoken and written English (other languages are considered a plus)
Not necessarily needed, but also helpful:
- Working experiences with Continous Integration (CI) & Continous Development (CD)
- NoSQL data management expertise
- Know how to migrate, deploy and maintain applications into public cloud environment
- Expertise in dealing with distributed streaming platforms like e.g. Apache Kafka
