RUBY DEVELOPER - PERM - DURHAM, NC
Ruby Developer Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or comparable experience in software
engineering
5+ years' experience developing web-based applications in highly-scalable,
highly-available production environments
Ruby, including Rails experience or Python with Django
In depth knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Solid understanding of RESTful web services and a working knowledge of JSON
Experience integrating RESTful APIs into web-based products
Experience partnering with product owners, UI/UX designers and front-end engineers
Ability to learn, proactively seek and apply new knowledge and skills to stay ahead of
emerging technologies
Adaptable, ability to think outside the box, work on complex issues, push personal limits,
and cohesively learn and share with co-workers.
Excellent communication skills are vital
Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects in an agile
development environment
Bias for action. "Can do" style that thrives in a fast-paced office environment
Preferred Experience:
MongoDB
PostgreSQL or other open source RDBMS
Understanding of Docker or other container technologies
Experience with Amazon Web Services or similar cloud environments
Other technologies welcome: C#, Java, PHP, Node.js, React.js, Angular.js, jQuery,
Bootstrap, Objective-C (not for mobile)


Ruby Developer Responsibilities:
Act as the SME/go-to-person who helps drive and change approach to software
development
Working with other members of the team, develop and deploy a full-stack product which
provides customers with a custom platform for managing patient care
Drive timely delivery of implemented functionality in an agile fashion
Contribute as a valuable team member in a high-growth company
Additional tasks and responsibilities that will positively contribute towards team and
company success
Evaluate and suggest changes as they relate to the current front-end technology stack,
while keeping an eye towards future technology trends
