Citrix Systems is looking for Interns just like you, someone who has the curiosity to learn how things work and to provide solutions to complex problems.



At Citrix, you will be working with the greatest minds in the industry to come up with new ways to tackle problems and provide innovative solutions. In our small Agile teams, you will be at the leading edge of new technologies, learning a wealth of information in a short amount of time.



By drawing on your academic, research and past project work, you will be working closely with other engineers and product management to conceptualize ideas, research into, prototype and then create a finished solution. Here’s what you will be expected to do:



  • Interface with SMEs and Program Managers to understand requirements and develop proof of concept (prototypes) and help with new product research.

  • Lead and design, develop, and adopt specifications for features and the overall plan for implementation to enable the engineering teams to be more efficient.

  • Be current on the latest programming language paradigms.

  • Embrace best practices and coding standards (e.g.: code reviews, logging and instrumentation, unit tests) within the team.

  • Compose and maintain design and component documents.

  • Understand and troubleshoot field issues. Diagnose customer problems through systematic root cause analysis. Institute preventive measures.



What do we look for?



  • Programming experience – can be any language C, C++, Java, C#, Python, PowerShell.

  • Knowledge of code analysis, bug-tracking and source control management tools.

  • Desire to solve problems with creative software solutions

  • Good understanding of operating systems

  • Curiosity. Inquisitiveness about how things really work.

  • Currently pursuing a BS/MS degree candidate or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer engineering
