About the Position


We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Product Developer to help us take our product to the next level. You will work on the back end of their main platform using Ruby on Rails. Having experience with the entire tech stack is a plus, which includes React.js, Ruby on Rails, and Amazon Web Services.


Some of the challenges you’ll be working on are customizable BI, schedule conflict resolutions, in-app retail, 3rd party integrations, point-of-sale, membership management, facility management, and more. 


We love clean code, fast tests, scalable solutions, and controlled experiments. We manage our development process with non-blocking and continuous deployment methodologies. We believe in growing, and being critical of ourselves.




  • Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering and analysis to the development of complex software and architectures




  • Participate in internal review of software components and systems




  • Responsible to define the scope, schedule and expectations for the work to be executed




  • Collaborates with senior management and leadership within the engineering organization




  • Builds stable working relationships internally




  • Responsible for resolution of a diverse range of technical problems and issues of broad scope and complexity




An Ideal Candidate Looks Like This




  • 3-7 years of professional software engineering experience




  • Experience writing Ruby code is preferred but if your expertise is with some other OO Development Language and you're willing to switch that is fine with us!




  • Experience writing services that scale using HTTP, REST, JSON and XML preferred




System and Object Oriented Design Skills




  • Familiar with Ruby on Rails and experience writing optimized, low-latency code




  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to accept new challenges, take ownership and be adaptable




  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms.




  • Proactively leads projects, spearheads initiatives and mentors lesser experience team members




  • Understanding of the complexities associated designing and developing highly trafficked & scalable services




  • Experience working in a fast paced, Agile environment
