The TBA Centre wishes to expand its team for the MySkills project and is thus seeking an
Linux system administrator for technical support
(full time, salary up to EG 9 TV-H*) - temporary until Dec 31, 2019 -
in Frankfurt am Main. The contract will be extended by two more years if funding is granted.
Your tasks:
- client service in technical third level support for a nationally implemented assessment software (written and by telephone)
- processing and documentation of support cases in the ticket system and monitoring of response and solution times (SLAs according to ITIL)
- realisation of IT administration tasks (installation and configuration of servers, monitoring, maintenance, reporting, collaboration in running stress tests)
- test and approval of server software
- collaboration in compiling an online documentation
Requirements:
- university degree in Computer Science (Bachelor), alternative system integration qualification - VET)
- certified experience in administration of Linux servers in highly available environments
- sound knowledge of common web hosting software (Apache, PHP, mySQL)
- Ideally experience in third level support
- sound knowledge of German, English language written and spoken
- reliable and accurate worker
- able to work during support times
The salary will be allocated on the basis of the successful candidate’s qualification and professional ability, the maximum pay group is EG 9 pursuant to Entgeltordnung TV-H.
