We are a small, established, and profitable technology company providing online exam software to customers in over 25 countries. We are looking for a part time, remote Oracle DBA to help us manage our database.
We are running Oracle 12c Standard Edition on RHEL 7.1
You have 5 - 10 years experience working as a DBA in a Linux environment Responsibilities:
- Experience with all aspects of Oracle database administration
- Installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, capacity planning, performance tuning
- Backup & recovery
- Evaluating patch releases and communicating constraints, issues, and timelines for deployment
- Proactive database monitoring and issue resolution.
- Provide technical assistance and promotions to developers for database related code and connectivity
- Strong understanding of Unix/Linux OS, storage and networking
- Shell scripting experience
- Willing to work after hours in case of emergency (down database)
Excellent communications skills and fluent English are essential.
