EMV QA Engineer at Sterling Payment Technologies (Denver, CO)

SUMMARY

The EMV QA Engineer performs the test activities in order to achieve a smooth running certification process for EMV. In addition will lead the certification projects for internal and external projects and will become the expert for the EMV domain.   You will focus on the definition of tests projects together with and for our clients and perform the test activities. This includes using the relevant test tools, analyzing and validating test results and report to the customer.  You will participate in the development of test procedure documents, test specifications and test tools.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Review requirements, design documents, and business use cases to develop meaningful test plans and test cases

Work with VP of Product, business development, developers and analysts to prioritize and coordinate testing efforts

Identify, record, document, and thoroughly track defects 

Perform thorough regression upon bug fixes and feature enhancements/additions

Design, develop and maintain test automation when applicable.

Perform related projects and duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or relevant experience

Experience in software quality assurance

Experience in EMV Testing

Strong knowledge of the software QA methodologies, tools and processes

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

Strong technical knowledge on API and SDK consumption and usage

Knowledge of black box and grey box testing methodologies 

Experience with Jira or other issue/project tracking software

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to proactively communicate with team

Strong sense of independence and ability to absorb new information

Flexibility in task management: Ability to switch priorities at the drop of a hat

PREFERRED

Some development or scripting experience (.NET, Java, Python, PHP, Obj C)

Experience with test automation using Selenium, SOATest, or other equivalent tool

Experience with iOS and Android development and testing process

Experience with UL and/or ICC toolsets

Experience with Payments Industry knowledge
