THE POSITION


At the heart of Cylance Product Development is an artificial intelligence-based threat detection system. Unlike traditional approaches, Cylance does not rely solely on signatures or even pre-determined behaviors to determine if something is known to be good or bad. Instead, we have developed a mathematical approach to identifying advanced threats. This intelligent system evolves in real-time as new threats emerge, providing continuous detection.


 We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Partner Integrations team in Austin.


WHAT YOU WILL DO 



  • Design, document, develop and test features for endpoint protection

  • Design and implement cohesive cross-platform solutions

  • Analyze and provide feedback during code reviews to ensure code is correct and adheres to the team’s quality standards

  • Develop and support API integrations with various external vendors and/or our other internal product teams

  • Implement workflow and business logics around authentication and identity assurance

  • Program primarily in C#, with an expectation to work closely with native code (C, C++, Objective-C) developers



  • Participate in team architecture discussions, from both contribution and execution standpoint

  • Engage with 3rd party engineering teams



WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR



  • 10+ years of C# / .Net development, focused on desktop applications with experience in advanced features such as:


    • Operation across managed/native code boundaries (p/Invoke, marshaling, object lifetime management).

    • Thread management, asynchronous delegates

    • Partial classes, etc.

    • Some experience with Mono under OSX or Linux


  • Recent experience with some basic C, C++, or Objective-C

  • Well-versed in practical OO skills (Interfaces, inheritance vs. composition, basic design patterns)

  • Tools:


    • Git (comfortable with the command line)

    • Visual Studio 2015+ for Windows

    • Xamarian Studio or Visual Studio Community Edition for Mac

    • Gcc, Docker a plus


  • SDLC, source control, unit testing, agile development methodologies

  • Experience working directly with 3rd party partner development teams

  • Insatiable intellectual curiosity and ability to find solutions to challenging problems

  • Awareness of software security concepts such as vulnerability, exploitation, and mitigation

  • Strong team player with the ability to work well within a diverse, cross-functional team

  • Takes initiative and ownership, and approaches all tasks and projects proactively

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision

  • Humility, accountability and positive approach



 


ABOVE AND BEYOND



  • Product development experience with Mono or any cross-platform technology is highly desired but not required

  • Third party vendor integration with various technologies (SDK / SOAP / REST)

  • Experience working with 3rd parties as a vendor
