Sr. Software Engineer (Blockchain) at Vidaloop (La Mesa, CA)

About the Role

This individual is responsible for design and development of a secure blockchain based elections platform. This system will be built from the ground up so we’re looking for an engineer who will help define the product and grow the team.

What You’ll Do

• Research election industry standards and write system requirements


• Define and implement system architecture


• Develop Blockchain runtime and associated components

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Requirements

• Excellent understanding of blockchain fundamentals


• Blockchain development background. Hyperledger or equivalent


• Worked on blockchain projects for at least 2 years


• Senior engineering experience (5+ years) in a related field

Strong Pluses

• Smart contract design, development and prototyping experience


• Shipped or worked on open source public blockchain networks


• Experience working in more than one smart contract language


• Experience deploying, managing and using blockchain nodes (blockchain ops)


• Security focused, cybersecurity expertise


• Familiar with cloud services such as AWS, IBM Cloud and Microsoft Azure


• Familiarity with Node.JS or other contemporary server-side frameworks and languages
