Digital Asset Technician at The BOSS Group (Washington, DC)

The BOSS Group is currently hiring a Digital Asset Technician for a 6 month contract in downtown, DC. This is an awesome opportunity to work with a top mortgage lender. This position would be 37.5 hours per week for the duration of 6 months. 



Responsibilities of the Digital Asset Technician:

• Support the Digital Asset Manager with tasks related to implementation of a digital asset management system (DAM) in company's Communications division, focusing on asset ingest and migration.


• Responsible for cataloging and preparation of video assets for ingestion to DAM, including, creation of proxy files/renditions, application of standardized metadata, and management of assets through all necessary project tasks.


• Act as an ambassador for DAM, supporting best practices and enforcing rules


• Provide archival support and quality assurance testing (e.g. complete project asset checklists)


• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to confirm approval of final assets; document digital rights and approved use


• Attend regular meetings with stakeholders to inform of progress, escalate delays, and keep informed of key decisions impacting project


• Work to support rollout (pre and post-launch) of DAM system (to include but not limited to): document workflow processes, draft training materials, testing of system

Qualifications/Skills: 

• 2-4 years of experience in digital asset management 


• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere


• Experience with cataloging/logging b-roll footage and shot sheeting


• Working knowledge of metadata (IPTC, XMP), archival workflows, and file share platforms; DAM experience a plus, but not necessary


• Must be detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines                     


• Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or arts-related field
