This is a boutique Law firm with solid reputation in Family Law and they are looking for a Law Clerk with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Family law with hands on exposure to Family litigation, trials and court runs. The office is located in a very convenient location in Downtown Toronto.
Your new role
The Law Clerk plays a senior role in the management of all cases and the functionality of the law practice. The Law Clerk works closely with the Family Law lawyer in executing the case strategy, managing the case, and ensuring the pace of the case is maintained and the best interest of the client is considered.
Some of the important aspects of the job will include Case Management and administration,Client, Court Staff and Opposing Law Firms and other parties Communications, Court runs, Trial preperation and being present with the lawyer at the court while litigating among others
What you'll need to succeed
You will have complete knowledge and understanding of Family Law Rules and Legislation and Litigation.
Knowledge and solid experience in Microsoft Office, DivorceMate, PC Law, Adobe and TimeMatters or equivalent systems is mandatory.
Knowledge & ability to assist clients with completion of complex financial statements
Graduation with a Law Clerk Diploma from an accredited educational institution or equivalent education and experience
