Dahl Consulting has a  Cloud Engineering Consultant w2  position avaialble for 6-12 months. The Cloud Engineer with experience leading the development & deployment of a secure, reliable & resilient Public Cloud Foundation and associated policies, standards and processes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with Solutions Architects, Infrastructure Engineers, Data Architects, Cyber Security Engineers and Analytics Engineers to architect, build and deploy sustainable, secure, reliable & resilient public cloud infrastructure & foundation to supporCloud Data & Analytics projects including associated standards, procedures & processes.

• Region, Availability Zone & VPC setup to support Technology Recovery & High Availability requirements
• Secure End-to-End Cloud Networking setup including WAN to Cloud Connectivity
• Cloud IAM Federation to Active Directory
• Development of provisioning processes for Data and Compute resources that follow Core Public Cloud Principles, including Kubernetes Platform, IaaS & PaaS
• Development of auditable Infrastructure, Software & Data Deployment processes (DevSecOps, CI/CD)
• Development of Cyber Security processes including asset management, logging, audit & governance processes
• Development of Cloud Cost Management Framework

Provide coaching and mentoring to General Mills IT architects and engineers in the area of public cloud technologies & processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience deploying enterprise solutions to the public cloud.
• Experience with concepts, processes & tools required for cloud adoption including cloud security, governance and integration.
• Experience developing & rolling out hybrid-cloud strategies and roadmaps.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Software Development experience.
• Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Experience with agile techniques and methods.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps & CI/CD concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with modern Software Engineering principles.

DURATION: 6 to 12 months
