What we do
We designed and implemented an awesome software called [N]EWTON to deal with all aspects of Business Process Management and information retrieval for the Real Estate investment industry. The web-based system features the easy and convenient access to all relevant information. From document management and retrieval to full workflows for invoice approval and payment processes. From cash books and cash flow calculation to host-2-host connection with the Connexis banking platform.
To meet the demands of our clients every day is a new challenge with setting up high performance database queries or writing and optimizing code.
Where and how we work
After a long period of remote work and coworking spaces, [B] PROJECTS finally decided in 2017 to move into the large, renovated factory loft, which we now call our spacious office. Here we work in a small team of 6 developers with 2 more developers in our second office in Luxembourg.
Working in a low hierarchy with constant exchange through Slack and Co. and regular visits of our colleagues from Luxembourg in the Berlin headquarters, we always value new ideas and sharing knowledge between the colleagues.
In our daily work
- We strive to let the client's visions become reality
- We use CakePHP's ORM capabilities to link the database with the client's business models
- We are not scared to use Excel to create SQL scripts for importing bulks of data
- We rely on Jquery, but sometimes we write our own Javascript plugins
- We work with GIT branches to safely implement new functionality, and have it tested by the client on one of several dedicated test servers
- We communicate proactively with our clients
What challenges await you?

What we expect from you?
- Experience in large object-oriented web-based projects
- Expert in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, CSS, HTML5, JSON, XML and SOAP
- Experience with jQuery, Bootstrap, LESS/SASS or comparable systems
- Good knowledge in typical tools like PHPStorm/Netbeans, W3C-Validator, Firebug, Git,
Redmine, Jira and Vagrant - At least basic knowledge of Linux and Webserver administration
- Good experience with PHP Frameworks like Zend, CodeIgniter, Symphony, CakePHP etc.
- Experience with SaaS / cloud computing would also be desirable
- Team player
- English speaking; additional language German appreciated, but not required
