In this role, the POS team lead is responsible for understanding POS system functionality and underlying architecture. Initially to support the transition of ownership to APG of a vendor-build Java-based platform. And then to maintain and improve that platform. Will work with other Team Leads, Architects and developers to provide a best in class solutions.

Development Team Lead

- Insatiable desire to provide next level technology, support and customer service to end users.
- Ability to quickly understand a Point of Sale technology solution in order to build a lift and move transition plan.
- Ability to review an existing solution and determine next steps to improved efficiency, stability and scalability.
- Responsible for working with vendor and internal resources to determine a transition strategy. Then work with those teams to execute strategy.
- Review existing architecture solutions to support the lift and move transition while planning post transition improvements.
- Provides best practice guidance to team and ensure development standards are adhered to.
- Java; significant experience
- Experience with Oracle solutions
- Leadership of development team
- Experience building a team a plus
- Experience with the following technologies (bold identifies main technologies)

- RMI

- Oracle
- PostgresSQL

- 10+ yrs. experience developing enterprise level Point of Sale software
- 5+ yrs. experience leading team developing enterprise level software
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong experience in large scale environments with 000s of endpoints and very large transaction intensive database systems
- Experience in retail environments a plus
- Must be self-motivated, persistent, and a consummate team player.
- Work is performed in typical office environment
