RDAIT is a growing IT Operations company, we provide IT services to companies in the greater Boston area. We help our clients with all of the technology tasks to make their business work. We specialize in companies that offer Software As A Service (SaaS) and Managed Service Providers (MSP) as well as companies that have "technology growing pains". We offer IT Operations Support and Security Services to companies with as little as 15 employees all the way up to the top of the Fortune list. There is a growing need for our services and more companies are outsourcing now than ever before.
We're looking for another Junior Systems Administrator with a focus on IT Helpdesk Support. Recent graduates are ok, but someone with great troubleshooting skills and the ability to persist and find a solution to a problem is required. You'll be traveling to our clients so the ability to work semi-independently and reliable transportation are required. You'll be expected to send regular status emails, work with clients to resolve their issues, and be available on slack during the day. We believe in proper documentation and labeling things, so strong writing skills are helpful.
Linux skills are required, we aren't a Windows-only shop and most of our clients use Linux in one form or another. You'll be tasked with resolving desktop support issues, managing minor aspects of websites, minor firewall administration, vmware administration, scripting (in Windows or Linux), and tracking/followup for items via a helpdesk.
We provide the tools you need to get the job done; laptop, phone, etc. You'll be working primarily with one of our clients and you will be backup for others. Local candidates only, no remote-only workers. You must be able to travel on-site around Boston for this role. This role can be either F/T or hourly contracting.
