Position Overview:
The
Infrastructure
Engineer is primarily responsible for technical engineering, implementation and support of a broad base of technologies to support global technology needs.
This includes engineering and
implementation as well as troubleshooting. The Engineer will be res
ponsible for ensuring delivery
of projects leveraging new, current
,
and innovative technologies to meet business needs. In addition
,
the
y
will be responsible for assisting in capacity planning, disaster recovery,
cloud services,
datacenter management, backups, documentation, server based application support
,
and tier 3 troubleshooting.
A successful candidate is a motivated self-starter with an aptitude for learning new skills and environments quickly while multi-tasking on more than one high-priority deliverable.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; M
inimum of
10
years of experience
in comparable roles;
AWS
certifications are a plus
-
A minimum of 5 years of working experience with Linux Servers (Ubuntu preferred), VMware, Windows Servers, SAN, Server hardware (Cisco experience preferred)
, Docker
;
3 years working experience with Cloud services (AWS, Office 365); 3 years Linux administration experience, certification in
Redhat
or Ubuntu is a plus

Familiarity working in a Windows and Linux integrated environment (Kerberos, Centrify, and Active Directory)

Familiarity working
with SAN, UCS and HP rackmount servers.

Working experience with configuration
& automation
management tools (Puppet
,
GoCD
,
GitRunner
)

Scripting experience with
use of Git, Terraform,
Python, PowerShell, Bash, Perl, or PHP-CLI

Proven Linux abilities to provide strong baseline of expertise.

Apache, Bind,
ipfwadm
/
iptables
,
chroot
, packages/dependencies/compiling,
user management, clustering/HA)

Secondary technologies: Cisco Networking (Nexus experience preferred),
CheckPoint
Firewalls, Enterprise Backup technology (Commvault experience a plus), Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2014), Automation tools

Strong IT operations and engineering background, preferably in a financial services organization.

Strong technical background, strong written and oral communication skills, project management skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

Ability to spot problematic areas, analyze solutions, propose resolutions, and direct their implementation
