Director, Quality Assurance at Audible (Newark, NJ)

You will work to iterate and improve how Audible validates it software from soup to nuts. To provide visionary thought leadership and move all aspects of Audible to a Continuous Delivery model with a focus on Quality technology.

You will play a key role in delivering high quality code and a rich customer experience in an efficient manner by:
· Establishing an organization with solid exploratory (Manual) and automated Web and API testing capabilities
· Driving continual improvements to the efficiency and flexibility of current software development practices
· Coordinating the establishment and execution of quality processes and strategies
· Building a QA roadmap for tools/frameworks to further speed up the development/QA processes
· Providing technical leadership to both dev and QA teams
· Engaging with remote teams as well as stake holders to track delivery of major initiatives
· Testing smart and implementing the right balance of testing with manual and automated test coverage
· Increasing confidence in each application release with data that shows an overall measurement of application quality
· Performing and leading integration, system and regression testing of web and mobile Applications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field
· 3+ years of experience as a Leader managing QA/Dev Ops organizations
· 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise level software solutions
· Knowledge of modern programming languages, Automation Frameworks, OO and Service Oriented Architecture
· Expert Knowledge of QA Methodologies and software delivery life cycle
· Advanced knowledge of Scaled Agile development processes
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting/problem solving skills
· Results oriented and with a strong customer focus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
· Experience in designing and building test tools and frameworks across a portfolio of products
· Excellent object oriented analysis and design skills (OOA/OOD)
· Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and web client technologies
· Good understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment processes
· Experience with but not limited to TestNG, Selenium, Appium
· Be able to thrive in an ambiguous environment - where change is the only constant
