Tier II Windows System Administrator

As a Windows System Administrator, the individual is responsible for responding to user inquires and issues. The Administrator creates tickets and resolves user issues or routes to the appropriate queue. This position will be responsible for responding to users using Standard Operating Procedures to resolve issues. The Windows System Administrator will also install software as appropriate.


  • Responds to new tickets in a timely manner
  • Updates newly assigned tickets with appropriate status
  • Keep all tickets up to date and changes ticket to reflect current status
  • Must complete the minimum number of tickets daily/weekly
  • Uses Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to resolve user issues
  • Identifies and repairs problems with baseline services such as anti-virus, hbssm, and the AGM
  • Identifies and if appropriate, corrects network connectivity issues
  • Identifies server application problems
  • Identifies and repairs all workstation and printer problems
  • Identifies or assists with email or active directory issues
  • Checks and responds to email regularly throughout the work day
  • May assist Tier 1 administrators when call volume or queue is high


·       DoD Secret Clearance

·       Security+ (required)

  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience preferred

·       Knowledge of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP)

·       Ability to work on weekends (based on business need)

·       Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with team members, external vendors, various levels of management and internal clients with assorted levels of computer experience
