Responsibilities
- Develop and establish DevOps culture and practices
- Implementation of CI tooling and automation
- Feathering in test automation tooling to pull request and build process
- Help establish code promotion tracks and associated hardware infrastructure to support
- Work toward a CD infrastructure minimally establishing hot deploy tactics (e.g., blue-green release, dark launches, etc.)
- Help design and operate highly available as a Service platform
- Work hand-in-hand with product and engineering to continually improve DevOps and take advantage of emerging technologies
- Have an eye on improving the integrity and quality of software releases
Minimum Requirements/ Desired Skills and Experience:
- Technical Bachelors Degree (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years' relevant DevOps experience with steadily increasing responsibilities
- Ability to define and establish DevOps related governance and operate against said governance
- Vendor management
- Solid experience with *nix operating systems
- Solid experience in leveraging open source technologies
- Working knowledge of cloud networking and security
- Deep AWS knowledge and experience
- Author and maintain your documentation
- Experience working in a PostgreSQL essential
- Experience working with Kafka desired
- Working knowledge of virtualization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Serverless)
- Cloud automation and orchestration
- Working knowledge of CI systems (we use CodeFresh currently).
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
