Job Description

We work mostly in Python and JavaScript/React but a successful candidate may come from other backgrounds or be proficient in other languages. The type of developer we're looking for knows that different languages and frameworks are suitable for solving different problems, and will not be attached to any specific one.

We are looking for “full stack” engineers, or better put, engineers that are simply good at figuring out how to make things work, in any environment or language. 

Experience working in true Agile environments and cultures that foster cooperation and positive feedback. 
 
  • 3+ years of experience in software development
  • Broad experience — has tackled a wide range of engineering challenges
  • Deep experience in working on a high traffic sites and managed scalability problems, or have worked deeply on a significantly complex React app.
  • Diverse experience — it's likely that a successful candidate has worked with a variety of languages and frameworks — perhaps not professionally, but at least on their own in side projects
  • Understands why Agile processes are useful, even if they are currently not working in an Agile environment
  • Understands the importance of testing
  • SQL and relational databases in general
  • React / React Native
  • The AWS family of serverless frameworks (Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, etc.)
  • Docker
  • Python, Flask
  • Mobile and responsive app development
  • Experience building or supporting very high traffic APIs
