Modis is seeking a Downstream Process Support Analyst, located in Houston, TX.
This is a long-term contract role, with a leading global oil and energy company.
The individual in this position will support Operator Training Simulator (OTS) (e.g., Aveva DynSim & Unisim) and Crude Assay (e.g., [Schneider Electric] Spiral CrudeSuite) software systems deployed within the company. Update users on application changes.
Responsibilities:
Scripting unattended and silent application installations in SCCM when new application versions become available
Provide ongoing support, technical knowledge and consulting services on the application
Troubleshoot technical problems, performs diagnosis, resolution and recovery
Provide general application technical support\maintenance\installation help
Monitor application performance
Raise issues and system improvement possibilities as needed
Provide consulting services to business and other Client IT teams in terms of application functionality, usage, security, controls and others
Develop/update/maintain technical instructions/documentation
Maintain development environment
Coordinate application user acceptance testing with business custodians
Participate in weekly support calls with vendor and business custodians
Generate and provide test data
Maintain both internal and external application support documentation
Technical Skills:
Aveva product - DynSim
Spiral Product CrudeSuite support
Honeywell product - Unisim support
SQL Queries / SQL Server Administration
Packaging Scripting (e.g. VB, Batch)
VB.NET/VBS/PowerShell/BAT
General Debugging / Windows Utilities (e.g. Process Manager, RegMon, Perfmon, Registry)
