Our client, cloud computing software company that is home to the biggest ticketing system on the market is hiring for a Java Software Engineer to join their DevOps team that is building highly scalable cloud services for their product.
**This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the opportunity for extension**
As a Java Software Engineer on this team you will work in a DevOps environment to design and write high-performance, reliable, maintainable code that is hosted across thousands of Linux server farms globally distributed.
Requirements:
- 2+ years designing and building scalable reusable components in Java
- Exceptional Java programming skills
- Experience building scalable web services
- Proficiency in web technologies like HTML, AJAX, XML, REST
- Firm understanding of data structures, algorithms, object oriented design and design patterns
- Experience with Linux, Apache/Tomcat, MySQL
