Systems Engineer (f/m/div*) - Enterprise Service Bus at Infineon (Villach, Austria) (allows remote)




As a Systems Engineer you will work in a global middleware service operation team and be responsible for 2nd to 3rd level system operation and maintenance of mission critical enterprise service bus and messaging middleware solutions for production sites in Europe, Asia and America.

In your new job you will:
  • Provide Level 2 to 3, round-the-clock operation support for mission critical Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) services and message-based middleware solutions to global manufacturing IT systems
  • Maintain ESB systems and related services for global production sites
  • Engage in incident management, problem management and event management
  • Support ESB product and middleware solutions testing, change and release management
  • Provide consultation and training to global ESB systems users
  • Develop, adapt or enhance monitoring and operation tools (Minor and when applicable)
  • Participate in local or global projects and operation efforts where ESB systems are involved



You provide knowledge about the complete software lifecycle. You remain aware of the big picture even in complex situations and take actions despite uncertain circumstances.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with various operating systems (E.g. Windows Server, Unix/Linux, OpenVMS)
  • Knowledge of data networking, messaging/service-oriented frameworks and protocols (E.g. TCP, UDP, message queue, SOAP, REST, FTP, Web services, WCF)
  • Knowledge of shell scripting and software development with .NET Framework, C/C++ or Java
  • Knowledge of relational databases (E.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), and proficiency in SQL
  • Familiarity with messaging middleware (E.g. TIBCO Rendezvous, ZeroMQ, IBM MQ)
  • Ability to think in a systems perspective & strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Professional level of written and spoken English
  • Good communication and presentation skills



This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group F (http://bit.ly/2Thxajd). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
