Job Description:
Client requires a database architect who will have demonstrable expertise in providing database administrative services (DBA) including data architecture, data modeling, data profiling, data migration, and database design / configuration. The database architect will work the development teams to develop the proper platform for Software Applications. the Architect should have experience managing and ensuring data encryption schemes (specifically TDE and AES) as that is the general purpose of this project, so this person should know what to look for to ensure they are successful. A few of the DBDs should have this too, but they dont ALL need it. Architect should also have experience integrating Data solutions with Azure.
Job Responsibilities:
* Architect a SQL Server SDLC environment to support integrated data sources and data warehouse.
* Install and configure SQL Server software (SQL Server 2016, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS).
* Implement multi-node SQL Server availability groups.
* Implement Backup, Optimization, Auditing, and Security plan.
* Develop and administer Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes using SQL Server 2016 and SSIS, SSRS, SSMS.
* Designed SSRS reports for ETL dashboards and SQL Server resource administration.
* Develop and perform data maintenance tasks (backup, restore, indexes, etc.)
* Optimize data storage using SQL Server functionality (partitioning, compression)
Required Skills:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
* 5+ years of experience performing DBA activities for a successful large scale, complex project
* Experience using Agile Scrum methodology
* SQL Server (Transact-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SSMS, ETL)
* Experience with Automated Extract, Transform, Load
* 5+ years of experience performing PL/SQL and Database Development using Oracle (8i,9i,11g)
* 3+ years of experience using Informatica
* Hands on experience as an ETL Developer skilled in design, coding, testing, documentation in the areas of development and maintenance.
* Performance tuning of ETL processes
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Informatica application.
* Work with Informatica vendor support if required
* Implement migrations, upgrades, patches and service pack implementations in all environments.
* General working knowledge of software integration in a Windows environment
Desired Skills:
* Develop and optimize SQL and DML used to support Online Data Source and Data Warehouse to include stored procedures, functions, triggers, indexes, etc.
* Update and implement automation of existing ETL processes
