The Role
We work in a modern, agile environment on latest technologies, and are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join us. As our QA Automation Engineer, you’ll design, create and maintain end to end functional tests across our technology stack.
We’re a growing and tight-knit team, and we’re responsible for one of the most trafficked sites in Australia (Appliances Online). Our goal is to steer the growth of our eCommerce platforms by ensuring high quality deliverables each sprint.
You’ll be an excellent problem solver with a passion for QA, which will allow you to steer change in our processes. You’ll analyse understand and implement solutions to any issues you find across a number of systems.
You will be based out of our Redfern HQ, and this is what you can expect day-to-day:
- Work with our dev teams to implement automated e2e functional tests for eCommerce websites
- Determine the technology and process we use to build these tests -
- Contribute to the development of the company CI/CD automated pipelines
- Peer review solutions from other QA and development team members
- Assess requirements specifications from UX design team and product owners for potential issues
- Actively participate in Scrum activities, including daily standups, spring planning, review, and retrospective
- Document product defects and analyse ways to best prevent future occurrences
- Identify bottlenecks in QA and development activities and suggest improvements
About You
- Experienced QA Engineer
- Experience with Protractor/Jasmine, Selenium and cross browser UI testing
- Experience with CI/CD platforms (i.e. Jenkins, TeamCity or Bamboo)
- A willingness to embrace change rather than accepting the status quo, and to adopt a solutions focus - one of our values is ‘Assume Every Problem is Solvable’
- Any experience in the rest of our tech stack/tools is always handy too - Angular 6/TypeScript, ASP.NET Core, Mobile browser test tools like Appium, Agile/Scrum experience, MongoDB/SQL Server, Web security / Penetration testing
