Essential Functions
- Provide pre-sales assistance for sales opportunities to customers and partners. Including installations, troubleshooting and training of Forcepoint products. Refine and research technical requirements of the opportunity
- Assist the sales team in aligning Forcepoint solutions to a prospects desired business outcomes, which includes qualifying opportunities, understanding requirements and challenges, and providing experience-based guidance and expertise to the prospect.
- Participate in sales conference calls and prospect visits, providing product demonstrations in person and via Zoom, and working with prospects at both a technical and business level to show how Forcepoints solutions can provide value to them.
- Possess demonstrable skills in customer-centric selling and a proven track record using it to help a large enterprise security company drive revenue.
- Provide exemplary Pre-Sales technical expertise through technical and product presentations, product demonstrations, pilot implementations, beta program administration, consistent communication, and on-going technical consultation
- Facilitate technical escalation management within accounts, and demonstrate a desire to continue to drive customer success beyond the sale.
- Work in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers, the Sales Engineer (SE) to be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their Pre-Sales customers
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Sales/Systems Engineer in the cybersecurity industry
- Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including two or more of the following:
- Web security / proxy solutions
- Data loss preventions solutions
- CASB solutions
- Anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spam and anti-spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS)
- Email security solutions
- Experience setting up or administering Virtualization software (ESXi, HyperV, AWS, Azure), Windows based environments (AD, Domain Controllers, SQL Server) and Enterprise grade Security Software.
- Experience with both cloud-based and on-premise solutions
- Demonstrated ability to make and take responsibility for decisions on major technical issues
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives
- Exceptional written communication. This role requires an ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of Forcepoint products and solutions
- Resilience and ability to handle stressful situations effectively while managing several tasks
- A self-starter and proactive leader willing to display initiative with common sense
- Results-driven and committed to outcomes rather than output
- Capable of developing empathy and rapport internally with staff and with customers and partners

- Comfortable contributing at all levels within targeted accounts, CxO level to individual contributor
- Previous experience in Information Technology with emphasis on managing a distributed environment supporting disparate systems and/or providing Pre-Sales support in an equivalent environment
- Open to travel
- Previous Pre-Sales experience working for web, email, or cloud access security vendors and/or hands on experience working with and administering these types of technologies.
