The challenge

The Senior Product Marketing Manager (PMM) is responsible for the marketing strategy and go-to-market initiatives for a core Magento product area. The role will focus on building and managing strong messaging for Marketing and IT buyers and System Integrator partners, engaging with technical audiences to evangelize product capabilities, enabling field teams to position and promote them, and partnering with corporate marketing to target the right buyers and influencers.

This includes working with our engineering and product team to deeply understand the products capabilities and value for our targeted markets and influence the product development for the targeted use case experiences. The PMM will also conduct market research to influence product direction and roadmap, go-to-market programs and business decisions. Using this information and knowledge the PMM will develop key messages and value propositions and drive creation of collateral to drive marketing and sales activities. As a senior member of the team, the PMM will take an active role in ensuring the product meets revenue targets and strategic goals. The position will report to Director of Product Marketing, SMB Commerce.

What Youll do

·    Lead the effort to understand the buyers of our solution, their pain points and success stories, and be their advocate and voice of this audience across the company

·   Plan the launch of new releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan

·   Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product targeted to technical and business audiences

·   Define and implement go-to-market plans in collaboration with global marketing, partners, success, services, and sales teams to drive demand, customer adoption and success

·  Take responsibility for results and closely monitor key success metrics including customer acquisition effectiveness, win rates, and customer renewal

·   Develop and partner to create solution-oriented content to build awareness and support demand generation and sales, including collateral, web site content, videos, webinar and press releases, and customer communications

·   Brief and train field staff and partners during regular sales meetings and webinars and build a scalable training program

·    Act as product, domain and market expert through presentations & demos to customers, press and analysts, and at events

·   Conduct market research to understand industry trends and identify opportunities

What you need to succeed

·   5 to 7+ years of product marketing experience from a technology SaaS/e-Commerce company

·   Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field; MBA preferred

·   In depth knowledge of marketing Cloud products

·   Drives technical messaging, sales enablement, and solution planning

·  Experience developing product marketing plans for Cloud Infrastructure Products

·  Experience creating product messaging and Go To Market plan directed to developer and engineering personas

·    Acts as subject matter experts to identify key technical concepts to communicate and determines the best way to package the technical information to a technical-savvy internal/external audience

·   Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and communicate with credibility and confidence

·   Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

·   Deep understanding of technical audiences within the market, being able to communicate w/ IT teams, CIOs, and similar positions

·  Required travel up to 25%
