Senior Elastic Engineer

Mosaic451 is seeking a Senior Elastic Engineer to join our growing team based in Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV or Portland, OR. The desired candidate will serve as a subject matter expert with knowledge on Elastic Cloud Enterprise, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats (Filebeat, Metricbeat, Winlogbeat, and Packetbeat), X-Pack, and necessary systems or software required to maintain high performance (including but not limited to container management, message queuing, and syslog.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, configure, deploy and maintain Elasticsearch clusters
• Architect and deploy Elastic Cloud Enterprise
• Configure X-Pack plugins to include Security, Watcher, Machine Learning, Monitoring, Graph, and Reporting
• Configure Logstash and Beats to collect data necessary to meet client requirements
• Design, implement, and configure Kibana visualizations and dashboards

Minimum Requirements:

• Individual must have a minimum of 2-3 years hands-on knowledge with full implementation of Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana.)  
• Application development experience
• Experience in architecting, designing, developing solutions using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana.)
• Experience troubleshooting and tuning performance issues and data inconsistencies
• Experience in parsing logs with GROK and regex
• Experience in Java, Spring, Spring boot, Apache, Confluent, Kafka, Spark, SQL
• Experience in Configuration Management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible), Source code Management (GitHub/Gitlab)
• Experience with SEIM systems (QRadar on Cloud/Premise, LogRhythm, ArcSight)
• Experience with other features of Elastic Stack (Canvas, Elasticsearch-SQL, and Elasticsearch-Hadoop,)
• Experience working in a team-based, start-up or agile development environment.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology or business information systems or related field (preferred but not required)
• US Citizenship is required
• Certified Elasticsearch Engineer (preferred, but not required)
• Cloud Certifications: AWS, Azure, GCP (preferred, but not required)
