Senior Software Developer (Microservices) at NAPA AUTO PARTS (Atlanta, GA)

The Senior Java Developer is responsible for successful delivery of technical integration solutions for NAPA's enterprise systems. Individual must be experienced in the design, development and implementation of Java/J2EE applications and interfaces to various processes and systems. In addition, the role requires gathering requirements, analysis, testing and documentation ofNAPA's integration solutions.

Additionally, this position requires qualified candidates to be innovative and creative in solving complex problems and work in an enviromnent where requirements may continually evolve, while still maintaining adherence to APG IT standards. The ideal candidate should have an aptitude for gaining deep knowledge of the business, and proactively using this knowledge to implement meaningful solutions.

Required Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's
    degree or equivalent or minimum of 7 years' related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ Ye
  • ars of strong experience in Core Java/J2EE (Threads, Collection, Memory Management) >
    • 7+ Years of object oriented design experience, including working knowledge of core libraries and design patterns
    • 5+ Years of experience with Java Development Frameworks for designing and developing enterprise architectures (JBOSS, Sttuts, Spring, Hibernate)
    • Experience with Web Services (XML, WSDL, XSD, and JSON) 
    • Development experience in a Unix/Linux environment
    • Experience with various RDBMS including Oracle
    • Understanding and working knowledge of Point of Sale systems
    • Must have sh·ong analytical, research, and problem solving skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to multitask and work on several projects simultaneously.
    • Must work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
    • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Must be able to lead, motivate, and execute.
    • Must be able to articulate ideas and motivate team to tum those ideas into reality.
    • Technical problem solving with confonnance to established or proposed policies and procedures.
    • Experienced with SDLC methodologies including Waterfall, Scrum, Iterative, Agile
